Washburn Cultural Center
Washburn, WI
Washburn's unique story is preserved and housed in this magnificent brownstone, originally built in 1890. The center is a place for cultural enrichment and an educational resource for the entire community. Listed on the State and National Registers of Historic Places, the building now serves as a museum, art gallery, gift shop and community gathering space. The building was fully renovated and restored, converting it from a former bank and apartments, with the goal of preserving not just the building, but Washburn's history.
