Opportunity Detroit
Detroit, MI (unbuilt)
Located in what is currently an empty lot in the heart of downtown Detroit, the proposed Hudson Towers would be a step toward recovery for the struggling city. The proposal features high-end retail space at the ground floor and additional retail at the second floor for more need-based retail to serve the downtown community. At the east end of the property, nearer the commercial center of downtown, is a 13-story tower with leasable commercial space topped with a rooftop event space under a dynamic glass canopy. To the west would be three interconnected 10-story towers of apartments and condos, including six luxury condos with massive rooftop terraces. The building is punctuated with ample exterior decks, terraces and gardens as well as a second-floor plaza serving as a new stop on Detroit’s downtown people mover.
