The original sanctuary had a dual purpose: church services and a fellowship hall for special events. The congregation saw a need for additional square footage to allow separate spaces for each function and also provide additional restrooms, a kitchen, and rooms for religious education. Therefore, an addition was added that is separated from the existing building by an operable wall system, which can be opened up to provide additional space for larger events.
