ej4 specializes in the creation of off-the-shelf and custom eLearning and training videos.  Taking a collaborative approach to the creation of their products, they wanted a space that fostered that collaborative spirit.  The layout was designed to provide offices that did not feel closed off.  Clerestory windows and sliding glass doors allow offices to be closed when necessary but maintain a visual connection to other spaces and let light fill the entire office.  The biggest challenge was the recording booth.  Located in a converted warehouse whose other tenant was a non-denominational church that played a lot of music, soundproofing was a must.  Double walls, floors and ceilings were constructed with sound isolators, insulation and green glue soundproofing and the interior of the booth covered with sound absorbing panels.
