Chequamegon Humane Association
Ashland, WI
The Chequamegon Humane Association has been serving the Ashland area since 1980. Originally run out of the homes of volunteers, the CHA has grown and added programs and services to fill the needs of the community and its wayward cats and dogs. With that growth came the need for a new home. The new building features a large reception area, training room for events and volunteer training, exam rooms and ample space for sheltering of cats and dogs. An attached garage allows for the safe transfer of animals into the facility. With the new, larger facility, the CHA has been able to add new programs such as a pet food pantry and provide a higher level of care for the animals that pass through its doors.
